My boyfriend and I have been happily in love for 6 months! 6 months ago, tomorrow, I walked nervously into his skateboard film premiere, welcomed by his voice over the microphone "oh my gosh Christy is here!!" which really shocked me and made me wonder if he liked me back. Later that night we confessed our feelings for each other. And here we are, best friends and crazy about each other! Yay!

today was such an amazing lil holiday day. (for background purposes, chris and i grew up 5 miles apart but never knew each other) we drove up to gwinnett. i dropped him off at his parents' house and i met my family at church. it is always great to see faces i grew up seeing. on the drive back over to his house, it was beautiful. there were no clouds in the sky and i was listening to motown. i dyed chris a cool yin yang egg, as well as a "wasssup?" one. we went to my aunt and uncle's for lunch. it was so much fun! we threw eggs at trees and slides, played dodgeball, watched the horses poop and roll on their backs, and played mexican train dominoes! then we went back over to his parents' house. snipers are so cool. i can't believe they got those pesky pirates! boo yeah! anyway, they hid easter eggs and goody bags for each of the brothers and their girlfriends. it was so much fun; i'm 25 and i'll be a kid forever. we taught his youngest brother and his girlfriend how to play nertz. best card game ever. it's all i think about. and to top off the night, chris and i reclined and watched the season finale of the one and only show i watch, Rock of Love. I AM SO PISSED THAT PLASTIC BARBIE WON. i have lost all respect i had for that show.

This isn't Tumblr so I can't just press the "reblog" button when i like something on someone else's blog, but I can keep it real with a good ol' fashion copy and paste.
"So its been around 4 years since i have taken the time to use this. I will stop in for a minute and let everyone know that I have been having the absolute best time ever here lately with my girlfriend Miss Christy Chaffin. She is the most amazing person i have ever met and I am c-c-c-c-crazzy about her. I mean, it aint everyday ya find a girlfriend that happens to be your best friend all in one, and is up for kissin with a mouth full of popcorn or soda while spilling it all over each other ya know? Christy, I love you!.....and on another note its snowing harder than I can remember it snowing in downtown Atlanta today. Ive been posted up in the apartment all day taken it easy."
I have to agree, I am the happiest I have ever been in my entire life. I am super super in love. Real love. I have found someone who is exactly like me and treats me so well. Chris and I have the best time together and he is my best friend.

chris and i went to brandon and nikki's apartment in gwinnett last night. we taught them how to play nertz. i have never played without having a partner before, but i got quicker at the game as the night went on. brandon and nikki must have beginners luck because they beat the crap out of both chris and me. we stayed at his parents' house and drank coffee from his mom's favorite mug. we made this video to post on his mom's myspace. haha.

We sat on my couch, while he played lil diddies on his guitar. He handed me my toy harmonica and I attempted to play along.

I am so jealous of people who get long holiday weekends. I have 8 hours until I can go home home. I can't wait to sleep in my teenage bed tonight.
I have been going on more adventures lately. A new friend of mine introduced me to a roof in downtown Atlanta by the hooters. The following night, I took lchad, Chris and his friend dallas up there. I think I'm gonna start a gang and hold my meetings up there.

rhain and i went to the park today. i brought along a box of photos from middle school and high school that i took from my parents' house. this printed out e-mail was at the bottom of the box.
it was written the summer after 8th grade. i guess this was a memory i never wanted to forget, and that's why i printed it out. sad thing is, i don't remember any of this happening.

One thing I really love about staying the night at my parents' house is that no matter how fancy my old bedroom has become, there are still glow-in-the-dark stars on the fan and ceiling.

i got a voice mail yesterday from free people telling me that they chose someone else for the position i have been working the past 4 months trying for. i shouldn't have listened to it at work because i was holding back tears of rejection, and really couldn't talk about it with anyone. i am mad at myself because i know i could have worked harder on my project, but i wasn't really inspired during the time i had to work on it. i feel rejected because the last two companies i have thrown my art into for possible work, i haven't been chosen. i know that not everything i life will be just handed to you, but rejection hurts. i want to cry because i don't want to be stuck doing retail forever...but i don't know what kind of job i can get painting. but on the super bright side, i get to still live here and be silly with all my friends.
brian adams, i mean, ryan adams ended his amphitheater-sized show last night early because his "voice was gone." people were seriously pissed off. we got a bunch of free tickets to the show, so i really didn't care- i was just ticked i had just spent another $7 on a tiny glass of wine. so ryan and phil pretended to be pissed off by throwing the extra tickets in the air or ripping them up into smithereens. that act caused a verbal fight with these ding dongs behind us. the ding dongs honestly believed that ryan adams was playing a joke and was going to come back on stage, while the lights were on and the crew was taking down the stage. phil ripping his tickets up was going to piss ryan adams off and he wouldn't come back out. get real ding dongs. like he was spying on people sitting a million seats back, and like he cared.

my living situation went from being the best to the worst in a matter of 2 weeks.
my roommate started dating this 40 year old, who, aside from his age, is totally creepy. my friends who have met him instantly feel uncomfortable. her boyfriend prior to the 40 year old loser was probably the best dude on earth, and i can't believe she took advantage of that. granted, i can't control people's love lives, but dang. i miss her old bf. anyway, the first time Mr. 40 - btw...his name is ernie- came to visit, she told me the day before and he ended up staying two weeks. i tried to give him a fair chance, but he quickly lost my vote after he found one of my shirts and cut it up and used it as a dish rag. dude never apologized, either. his last day couldn't come any sooner.
this past thursday, rhain and i were about to head out to go eat somewhere...and i hear the door unlock. he walked in ALONE. it was never mentioned to me that we'd have an out of town guest again. but more importantly, WHY DID HE HAVE A KEY?!
my roommate and i were supposed to talk the other night about that- but it never happened. i've asked her four times via text about when he is leaving...and she wont answer me. she just responds "we'll talk thursday." it's really pissing me off because, clearly, he hasn't booked a flight out or she's going to ask if he can move in. i feel completely invisible in my own apartment...an apartment that i practically lived alone in until she met this guy. i pay rent here and really shouldn't feel this uncomfortable in my own place. i really want to move out but i'm kinda waiting to hear about the philly job.
i mailed off my package to philly today. weee! wish me luck!

It's gonna be a good day, tater.
I always try to tell myself that every morning. That phrase is on a magnet that jay dillard gave me when he and Joey Mcginn bought me a bunch of stuff from a gas station for my 22nd bday.
My day started out kinda crappy. I woke up 10 minutes before I had to be at work. I didn't take my dog out and I didn't even look in the mirror. I couldn't find my chanel uniform so I just wore regular black clothes.
Of all days, my coordinator decides to pay a visit! I was a mess. No makeup, no uniform. Sounds silly, but it is kind of a big deal. I didn't get yelled at, but sometimes it is worse to feel like a disapointment.
I hate uniforms!
Then another authority walked by and said something about the legth of my skirt. I can't win
Its going to be a good day, tater. Gonna be a good day.

This wind/weather combination is amazing!
Some girl just walked past me with a dog in a freaking dog stroller. This mall dog trend hasn't died yet? It seemed like it was on the verge of extinction, until these strollers hit the market.
Why are people obsessed with acting rich? Its plain foolery. Your life should really not be focused on creating this false impression or even money. Haven't movies taught you yet that money doesn't equal happiness?! When I think about playing in the park and inside jokes, that makes me really happy.
Money is stupid. I have to come up with one billion dollars to get my car fixed.

I am sitting at a table with the singer of the All American Rejects right now. He is actually really cool and showed us the bed bug bites on his nipple, which were in the shape of a smiley face. I am so smitten.

Greetings from St. George-ous Island. A land with beautiful empty beaches and lack of any condos reaching the sky. I'm sitting in bed typing on my mom's laptop because i have a belly ache from a really acidic caeser salad. I'm bummed because i couldn't fully enjoy my crab cakes.
My family + Morgan's friend, Becca, got here Sunday afternoon and we shall be here until next Sunday. Rhain was supposed to be my guest of honor, but a heavy workload prevented that from happening = TOTAL BUZZKILL.
Friend or no friend, I am having a great time. My family is fun. We ride the waves on noodles and fancy Costco-purchased flotation devices during the day and play kickball and wiffle ball at night. I actually picked up the 6 month old bookmark in Captivating and I have learned so much about why women are the way we are and why we shouldn't be ashamed of it! It is easing the secretly sad parts of my soul just a bit.
Porkchop, if you are reading this, I miss you dearly.

Atlanta is full of chicken bones today. I took Porkchop for a walk this morning, and had to restrain him from gnawing on so many thighs, legs and breasts.

(images from katie culp's cowboys vs. indians party)
I have been wearing my underwear inside out all day & I realized tonight that I, too (tiffany), have been washing my clothes for the past 6 months with fabric softener. ahhh MY LIFE IS IN SHAMBLES!!!!!!!!
I am going to the St. George Island next week with my family and special guest, Rhain. We are driving separately from the family, and I look forward to every road trip stop. Last road trip we took, we kinda got obsessive with energy drinks and lottery tickets. I have a feeling this time we might win something better than a free ticket-- like a yellow lamborghini!
